About us

Perusing the scripts to give shape to the image of a director is crucial to costume design. Besides historical accuracy, the created costumes are based on the background, personality, occupation of each role, and various other elements.

“The characters come to real life and start living vigorously within the world view of the work.”

What drives us to design and produce costumes is our desire to create such costumes for any work.

The design image of Kurosawa is for illustration purposes only. Based on the design image, the designers work with the director to develop their imaginations. After historical accuracy checks, costumes for the real stage come to life. Unlike drawings for industrial design, costume design drawings are used to elicit the imaginations of the director, staff, and cast. Costume design drawings are sort of a benchmark for creating costumes.
